In the Beginning
Skyway Grain Systems Inc. is a second generational family business, which was founded in 1986 by Ellwood Sawby. Ellwood loved farming and devoted 30 years to the agriculture industry. Ellwood recognized what a difference maker a well-designed grain handling system can mean to a farming operation. Right from the day of incorporation Ellwood tenaciously led by example—instilling his work ethic and demand for excellence in those who would follow in his footsteps. Like the grain systems themselves, he solidly built his company from the ground up.
Today
Today Skyway is led by the second generation, Jim Sawby. Jim started with Ellwood in 1991 and succeeding him in 2005, Jim has gained over three decades of experience providing long lasting solutions for Western Canadian Farmers.

Since 1986 Skyway has put together a fantastic team of dedicated sales personnel, engineers, millwrights, electricians, and concrete specialists to service the needs of small family farms, large grain elevators, commercial feed mills…. basically, almost anyone with grain handling and storage needs.
