CURVED INCLINE & STRAIGHT INCLINE CONVEYORS

The Curved Incline Drag Chain Conveyor is meant for situations where grain has to be conveyed on an incline greater than 10 degrees. The term curved incline comes from the shape of this conveyor with part of it running on the horizontal and then the conveyor will have a curved section (curve section anywhere from 15 to 45 degrees) and then an incline section after the curve. You essentially have a drag conveyor that conveys horizontally and then after the curved section elevates the grain at a maximum angle of 45 degrees. Other manufacturers refer to this type of conveyor as a Hy-Flight – the term Hy-Flight is really describing the plastic paddle on the chain – in a Hy-Flight or what Lambton refers to as the Curved Incline the paddle is much taller than a normal drag conveyor that is operating horizontally (not inclined), in order to convey grain at an incline you must have a paddle that is as tall as the pile of grain that it is conveying or gravity causes the grain to fall back over top of the paddle.

CURVED INCLINE DRAG CHAIN CONVEYOR TAIL/BOOT FEATURES:

  • Computer aided modular bolted together design
  • CNC manufactured
  • 10, 8, or 5 gauge standard galvanized, bolted construction (standard gauge depends on size of conveyor or expected use)
  • Heavy duty pillow block bearings supported shaft
  • Heavy duty sprocket
  • Acme screw style slack adjusters
  • Removable inspection cover
  • UHMW dust seals
  • Optional Abrasion Resistant (AR) steel liners available

CURVED INCLINE DRAG CHAIN CONVEYOR TRUNK SECTION FEATURES:

  • Computer aided modular bolted together design
  • CNC manufactured
  • 10, 8, or 5 gauge standard galvanized, bolted construction (standard gauge depends on size of conveyor or expected use)
  • Bolted construction (pre-assembled)
  • Optional Abrasion Resistant (AR) steel liners available

Drag Chain: Is all steel with 24,000 – 44,000 LB average ultimate strength. Welded channel adds a ridge back support for paddles to bolt on to.

Paddles: Are 1/2” Thick UHMW, CNC produced for accuracy. UHMW prevents Metal-to-Metal contact, reducing horse power requirements and greatly increasing the incline conveyors life.
